Omantel provides Wi-Fi internet at 12 Bank Muscat Branches

Muscat,8-4- 2013: Omantel, in collaboration with Bank Muscat, announced that Omantel’s free Wi-Fi service is now available at 12 Bank Muscat branches. The Wi-Fi service will complement the value added services provided by Bank Muscat to its customers and visitors.

The Wi-Fi service provided by Omantel is the preferred choice of corporate subscribers in the Sultanate, as shown by the growing demand for the service since its launch in the Sultanate several years ago. It enables corporate customers to add more value to the services they provide to their customers.

ETIHAD AIRWAYS ANNOUNCES STRONGEST EVER FIRST QUARTER RESULTS

Etihad Airways, which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary of operations, has recorded its strongest ever passenger and cargo results for a first quarter.

The Abu Dhabi-based airline posted Q1 2013 passenger revenues of US$900 million (2012: US$758 million), an increase of 19 per cent; and cargo revenues of US$193 million (2012: US$165 million), an increase of 17 per cent.

Passenger numbers in Q1 2013 grew by 18 per cent, rising from 2.3 million to a record 2.8 million.

ETIHAD HOLIDAYS LAUNCHES NEW EXPANDED PROGRAM

Etihad Holidays, a division of Etihad Airways, has launched its 2013-2014 holiday packages program with breaks to 140 destinations in 45 countries, and offering a wealth of activity options including extended tours, cruises and fly-drives.

This year’s program builds upon Etihad Airways’ extended flight network options with its alliance partners airberlin, Air Seychelles, Virgin Australia and Aer Lingus, as well as the many of its 42 codeshare partners around the world.

There are also a number of different breaks to Etihad Airways’ new destinations for 2013 which include Amsterdam, Ho Chi Minh City, Sao Paulo, and Washington DC.

ETIHAD AIRWAYS BRINGS BRAND CAMPAIGN TO FACEBOOK

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is launching a Facebook application and competition encouraging fans to submit photos replicating the theme of the recently launched global brand advertising campaign.

The new campaign, “The World Is Our Home, You Are Our Guest”, was launched on March 3, 2013 when the UAE flag carrier’s new television commercial (TVC) first aired, supported by print, digital and outdoor advertising in major markets.

To enter the competition, users must upload an image of themselves and their home city into the ‘Be My Guest’ competition tab to create a bespoke Facebook Timeline cover image.
