OMRAN’S EMPLOYEE Ammar Al Kharusi WINS NTI BIZPRO AWARD FOR YOUNG ACHIEVERS

Muscat, April 9th 2011 - From a pool of 94 candidates competing for the NTI BizPro Award for Young Achievers, Ammar bin Sulaiman Al Kharusi, Construction Supervisor at Omran was announced as one of the top three winners. Al Kharusi who began his career at Omran in 31st August 2010, was nominated for his outstanding skills including leadership, teamwork, communications, business knowledge, professionalism and innovation. Evaluated and selected by KPMG, winners of the Young Achievers Award receive OMR 2,500 each to further enhance their management education and development.

 

Aiming to become a talent magnet for Oman’s best people, Omran offers planned career progression in addition to wide-ranging training and development programs that empower employees to become leaders of tomorrow. Since its inception in 2005, Omran’s workforce has grown to 103 employees of which 62% percent are Omanis.

First launched in 2007, the BizPro Young Achievers Award is a social investment initiative pioneered by the National Training Institute (NTI). The Award aims to recognize, motivate and develop leadership and life skills of talented young Omanis who occupy managerial positions in prestigious organizations by celebrating their significant contributions to the overall growth of their companies.

UAE National Khaled Al Qubaisi celebrated his first ever motor racing win on Friday at Yas Marina Circuit

Abu Dhabi, 9 April 2011 – UAE National Khaled Al Qubaisi celebrated his first ever motor racing win on Friday at Yas Marina Circuit. On his home track, Khaled took out first place in the penultimate round of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East; coming through with the victory he had promised fans earlier in the week. Saudi Arabians Bandar Alireza of the Saudi Falcons team and Fahad Algosaibi from ClassicArabia Racing came in second and third respectively.
